The Samsung inverter split unit is a much better product than the one it replaced (admittedly 10 years older). The unit coils very well, has good airflow without being noisy or uncomfortably windy.
A bonus is the ability to link to SmartThings and thus to Alexa, we can now control the unit using voice commands, something our son finds highly amusing.

As my first split type A/C, I am really impressed by its performance! Only spending less than 2 KWh for 8 hours in Cool Mode and even less in Eco Mode. My room already gets really cold in a few minutes at a 20-degree setting in medium fan speed. My room has a mezzanine and the A/C effortlessly cools the area. I also love its Purify option to clean your room’s air. This is pretty good for the likes of me who has allergic rhinitis and my wife who has asthma. The purify option doesn’t even consume that much power, so you cab keep it running while it keeps your room cold. My only (small) issues were the Eco and Auto modes where their minimum temps only go down until 24 degrees, which makes a big difference in the A/C’s cooling capacity. I’m also not that amused with the Windfree feature, since I’m used to feeling the A/C’s wind. I haven’t used the other features yet like the Smart Things app since everything I need is already on the remote controller.
