Installation is being used as a way to scam customers

I bought this and Rheems Prestige here in Anson’s and just like the reviewer below me, I also had problems with the installers. They give vague answers to questions regarding materials needed to prepare prior to installing the unit and they will quote exorbitant prices for the materials that can normally be bought way cheaper outside. I think Anson’s should investigate this “scam”

    Installation was too expensive!

The product is fine and works well. However, the company handling the installation was not. They said it was free installation but if materials will be needed and used, the customer may supply them or repay the installer. The materials were way overpriced and the installer did not even inform us how much the materials will cost before using them nor ask us if we would like to supply them instead. We paid around 1,900 per water heater installed just for the materials.
